What is MySQL?

MySQL is an open source relational database management system (or RDBMS for short).  This type of database organises data into one or more data table in which data types can then be related to each other to help create structured data.

Created by a Swedish company MySQL AB (acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2008 who in turn were acquired by Oracle in 2010) and internally released in 1995, MySQL is the most popular open source SQL database management system.

MySQL is a database management system

MySQL can be used for anything from a basic shopping list to structuring vast amounts of information for a large corporation. It allows you to add, access and process data and because computers can handle large amounts of data, they are the ideal way to manage large amounts of data. It is very fast, very reliable and scalable.

At Glasgow Bookkeepers, we pride ourselves on building custom built MySQL database cloud solutions that allow your business to run smoothly while all the accountancy processes run seamlessly in the background.

As you would expect with bespoke solutions, every client gets a tailored made system for them so whatever business sector you are in, we will be able to create a bespoke solution that is perfectly suited to your needs.

Think of it like this, if your business is a square peg, we will build you a square hole.
